About Karimex Children Theater
Karimex Children Theatre was established with the aim of bringing theatre to children with limited access to the arts, nurturing their imagination, and making learning a joyful experience.
We began this journey in November 2023 with our first play, “Önce Kalite” (Quality First) , and continued into the 2024–2025 season with our second production, The Land of Hazelnuts)
So far, we’ve welcomed thousands of children and filled theatre halls with their laughter.
Why Children’s Theater?
At Karimex Hazelnut Industry, we attach great importance to social responsibility projects. From our employees to farmers and hazelnut workers, we strive to reach broad communities with impactful initiatives.
Karimex Children’s Theatre was born from this strong vision.
Children’s theatre is not just a stage—it’s a unique space where children learn to dream, express themselves, and explore the world.
Since 2023, we’ve been on stage to make art more accessible to children and to contribute to their growth as conscious, empathetic, and creative individuals.
Our Plays
Önce Kalite (Quality First) Written and Directed by: Ufuk Ersoy
Staged during the 2023–2024 season, “Önce Kalite” is a special play written by our Artistic Director, Ufuk Ersoy, 25 years ago. It was included in the state theatre repertoire and has been performed by various institutions across Türkiye for years.
Revived by the Karimex Children’s Theatre team, the play was brought to life by an 11-member cast and a 6-person technical crew.
After 600 hours of preparation, we performed for a total of 1,056 hours on stage and reached over 2,220 children. This marked a successful first season.
Fındık Ülkesi (The Land Of Hazelnut) Written and Directed by: Ufuk Ersoy
Premiering in November 2024, our second play “The Land of Hazelnuts” was written by Ufuk Ersoy specifically for Karimex Hazelnut Industry.
The story follows an ambitious vizier’s quest to become king, a beloved ruler forced to leave his land, and the interactive support of our young audience. Through this vibrant tale, we explored themes such as honesty, sharing, leadership, and justice in a fun and engaging way.
With a cast of 7 actors and a 4-person technical team, we held 25 performances across 4 different venues, reaching 2,667 audience members.
Preparing for a New Season
Preparations for the third season of Karimex Children’s Theatre are already underway! With a brand-new story, fresh characters, and exciting surprises, we will once again invite our little ones into the colorful world of art.
