Karimex Hazelnut Industry, as an organic farming model that preserves both nature and human health, is increasingly emphasizing the importance of "organic" agriculture.
With Azof Organik, in which we acquired a significant stake in 2019 and added to our subsidiaries, we produce organic hazelnuts on approximately 11,000 acres of land with nearly 1,000 contracted farmers. By preserving the agricultural lands located in Alaplı and Ereğli districts of Zonguldak province and the farmers who work on them, we protect both nature and the health of producers and consumers.
Starting from the environment where we produce by not using inorganic fertilizers, pesticides, and more, which are not used in organic farming, we contribute to the preservation of natural life. Additionally, by offering hazelnuts that have not come into contact with these harmful chemicals, which are not used in organic production, we provide an important alternative for health-conscious consumers.
As of 2023, we are developing our production facility with an allocated budget to include a hazelnut cracking facility and advanced organic hazelnut processing at our Azof factory. This way, we will process our processed and highly processed organic products on-site.
